Travel Blokus

"Travel Blokus" is a misnomer...5

In Europe this game is called Blokus Duo and it's actually the two-person version of the four-person game Blokus. The pieces are identical except there are only two sets not four so the board is smaller too. So yes you can travel with it - but it's ideal to play at home when there are only two of you.

Personally I prefer this version to standard Blokus - there isn't the "gang-up" factor that standard Blokus has. I almost took away one star because the game is so addicting but that wouldn't be fair to the game.More detail ...

Blokus Trigon Game

All the engineers at work are hooked5

My whole team at work loves to play this during our lunch breaks. I've also played it with my parents and inlaws and 9 yr old cousins. Its fun for everyone! Blocus Trigon is a little easier for me to think about shape wise compared to Blocus classic. (triangles vs square "tetris" shaped pieces) This game works best with 2 or 3 people. With 4 people its best to play Blocus classic because its harder for everyone to gang up on one player. (which happens frequently when we play 4 player Trigon because the 4th person always ends up starting closer to one of the other 3 players)

The premise of the game is to get rid of all of your pieces. There are 21 different shapes each made up of between 1 and 6 triangles. You MUST touch the corner of one of your existing pieces but cannot touch the side of any of your existing pieces. Touching opponents pieces doesn't matter. People can be ruthless cutting each other off and blocking other people from putting down their pieces or expanding across the board. It makes for a lot of fun!

I rated this game as less durable just because there are a lot of little pieces and it could be very easy to lose one. Once you lose one you have to contact the company to get a replacement or you can't play with that color (one less player).More detail ...
